New Wineskin People! #5

Becoming New Wineskin People

This is the fifth characteristic of New Wineskin People.

New Wineskin Peoples’ limitations fostered by their flesh do not limit their access or influence in heaven; nor does their physical earthly bodies restrict their seamless connection to heaven.

□ The heaven/earth connection is clearly illustrated in II Chronicles 20:1-30 in the appeal to heaven by Jehoshaphat, the king. His appeal was driven by the desperation of the earthly circumstances and his clear understanding of heaven’s ability to change earth’s situation.

□ Jehoshaphat approached heaven confident in the unbroken link between heaven and earth.

□ He was aware of the nature of the connection between the events on the earth and the activities of heaven.

□ The king knew the desire of Father’s heart and purposes for His people.

□ He was very aware of what to ask for from the God of Heaven.

□ Matt. 18:20 has the same central truth as Jehoshaphat’s story.

Mat.18:20 “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there in the

midst of them.” NKJV

“…gathers in my name…” contemplates an immediate and intimate connection to heaven as we align and position ourselves to participate in the atmosphere and activities of heaven.

“…gathers in my name…” is not just invoking His name but it is an invitation to come join Him in working out His eternal plan, His purpose, and His will.

□ II Chron. 20 illustrates for us what is involved in “gathering in my name”. It reveals how people align with God and come into agreement with God’s promises and His purposes.

How are you doing with gathering in My Name? Are you ready to become one of the New Wineskin People?

As you will see in the next post, Father’s new thing ends in victory at a level and dimension that has until now been unimaginable to us.
